George S. Bayoud, Jr.

George S. Bayoud Jr. founded Cowboy Oil & Gas LLC to acquire mineral, royalty, and overriding royalty interests throughout the United States. Drawing on decades of experience in private investment, banking, real estate, corporate transactions, and public service, he leads the company with a commitment to professionalism and integrity.

Through Cowboy Oil & Gas, Mr. Bayoud seeks to make the sale of mineral interests straightforward, respectful, and transparent. The company evaluates each property individually, communicates directly with mineral owners, and provides clear, competitive offers without unnecessary complexity.

Mr. Bayoud began his private investment career in 1991, when he founded Bayoud & Company Inc., a firm focused on real estate, corporate ventures, and infrastructure projects. His real estate experience includes helping transform Dallas's Knox Street area into one of the city's leading mixed-use retail and residential districts.

He previously served as President of First Southwest Holdings, the parent company of First Southwest Company, and as President of First Southwest Asset Management. He later became a Senior Advisor to Lehman Brothers, focusing on asset management and corporate transactions. In addition, he served as a director of PlainsCapital Bank and as a member of its Executive Committee.

Mr. Bayoud's private-sector leadership also includes serving as an advisory director of The Beck Group, an international architecture, construction, and real estate firm. Since 2001, he has advised the Dallas Cowboys on non-football matters, including the development of AT&T Stadium.

His public-service career has been equally distinguished. Mr. Bayoud served as Chief of Staff to Texas Governor William P. Clements before being appointed Texas Secretary of State. Governor Ann Richards later appointed him as a Republican member of the newly established Texas Ethics Commission, where he was elected its first chairman.

His civic leadership has included serving as:

• Vice Chairman and Trustee of The Alamo Endowment
• President of the Super Bowl XLV Bid Committee

• Member of the Board of Directors of The Cotton Bowl Association, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and The Texas Business Hall of Fame

Mr. Bayoud is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife, Courtney, reside in Dallas, Texas.
